Ground Source Heat Pumps

Viessmann offer 3 models of Ground Source Heat Pumps:

Vitocal 200-G (6kW - 10kW)

Vitocal 200-G: Ideal for heating low energy houses, the available output sizes ensure a convenient heat supply, in mono-mode all year round. A Brine/water heat pump, the Vitocal 200 employs a closed loop system to collect heat from the ground. It is suitable for all operating modes and can provide all heating and domestic hot water in mono-mode, or operate in dual mode with a second heat source. Weather compensated digital heating circuit control unit, with integral natural cooling function is standard.

Vitocal 300: Perfect for low energy houses, the Vitocal 300 can provide the entire heating demand, even on cold days. Benefits include high operational reliability and very quiet operation. This range has a high performance factor: COP to 4.61 for brine and 5.6 for water. The standard control is a weather compensated digital heating circuit unit, with integral cooling function, menu guided operation and integrated diagnostic system. Single stage available from 6kW to 12kW. Two stage from 12kW to 107kW. A Vitocal 300 BWC version is available factory fitted, with integrated brine pump, heating circuit pump, electrical auxiliary heater, safety assembly, with safety valve, pressure gauge and air vent valve.

Vitocal 350: Higher flow temperatures up to 65 degrees C can be achieved in this model thanks to additional vapour injection, making it ideal for not only new buildings, but also for the modernisation of radiator heating systems in older buildings. This heat pump is so efficient that it can be used as the only heat source for central heating and DHW loading, all year round (mono-operation). The advanced control is a weather compensated digital heating circuit unit, with integral cooling function, menu guided operation, with plain text support and integrated diagnostic system.

Air to Water Heat Pumps

Viessmann supply the Vitocal 350-A Air to Water Heat Pump which is based on the Vitocal 350.

This model is perfectly suited to new build and to the modernisation of heating systems with radiators in existing buildings.

A particular benefit of this heat pump is that it exploits the energy source very easily. Collectors do not need to be buried and bore holes do not need to be drilled. It can be installed indoors or out and draws energy from the ambient air without the need for extensive installation work. Even when the outside temperature is below zero, it can achieve flow temperatures of 65°C
